Friends of Centralia Regional Library District Giving Away Two NOOK™ Readers

Centralia, IL – September 6, 2011– Centralia Regional Library District residents who use electronic book readers are in luck. CRLD now offers free access to bestselling and classic eBooks from the library’s website, www.centralialibrary.org. Library patrons may browse the website for downloadable electronic books, check them out with a valid library card, and download the selection to a PC, Mac®, or many mobile devices. Using free software (Adobe® Digital Editions) to read the eBooks, titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPhone®, Sony® Reader™ and many others. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period of either one or two weeks, chosen by the reader. To see a list of compatible devices, visit the library’s website.

To help the library district kickoff its new virtual library, the Friends of the Centralia Regional Library District are giving away two NOOK™ Simple Touch Readers™. To enter the drawing patrons must have a CRLD library card in good standing and either submit the online form at www.centralialibrary.org or stop by a district library in Centralia, Hoffman, Irvington, Odin, or Sandoval and fill out an entry form. Contest entries will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, September 30; and the drawing will be held on October 6. Complete contest rules are available online and at each library in the district.
