Come up to the Youth Department on the Library’s 2nd floor (accessible by elevator and stairs) to grab a page. If you want\, you can hand it back to us when you’re done so we can display it. Visit 9 library websites (3 local\, 3 U.S.\, 3 world) to complete your library passport. When you submit your completed passport\, you’ll score free early admission into our next Friends of the Library Used Book Sale! Get your passport here. \nSpirit Week Activities:\nSunday\, April 7: Sharing Sunday – Share a social media post about the Library!\nMonday\, April 8: Mentioning Monday – Mention your favorite TV series\, movie\, or book that you enjoy checking out when you visit the Library!\nTuesday\, April 9: National Library Workers Day/True Love Tuesday – Show some love to your favorite library staff member(s)! Consider nominating them for a Library Star award or an Illinois Library Association Award.\nWednesday\, April 10: National Library Outreach Day/Work Outside Wednesday – Reach out to your friends and family and share the Library’s resources with someone who hasn’t visited the Library!\nThursday\, April 11: Tour-It Thursday – Never been to Centralia Regional Library District or haven’t seen all of it? SUMMARY:2024 Great American Eclipse Viewing Party
DESCRIPTION:Watch the Eclipse at the Centralia Regional Library! Activities include:\n– Pinhole Viewer Crafts\n– Eclipse and Solar System Art\n– Shadow Chalk Art\n– Spotting Scope Viewing\n– Photography Demonstrations and Opportunities\n– Coloring Pages and Activity Packs\n– Indoor and Outdoor Games\n– Giant Bubbles\n– Eclipse Livestream Viewing in the Monken Activity Room (in case of overcast weather) \nWe will be handing out solar viewing glasses until supplies run out. An astronomer will be narrating the eclipse onsite.\nEclipse partiality begins at 12:45pm and will end at 3:20pm. Totality begins at 2pm and ends at 2:03pm.
