DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re already a Friend of the Library or are thinking of becoming one\, come to the Friends’ public annual meeting\, where you’ll learn what the Friends will be doing with and for the Library in the coming year. There will be snacks\, attendance prizes\, and guest speakers\, so bring a guest or two with you! \nSpeakers Include: \n\n– Rob Schnicker of Mission Centralia\, on his experiences volunteering in the Centralia area\n– Library Director Tammy Wendling on the Library’s Past\, Present\, and Future\, as well as the future of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and what it might mean to the Illinois library community\n\nWe will also be electing officers for 2025-2026\, so if you’re looking for a way to get involved in the community and its library\, now’s your chance! \nThis meeting is in the 2nd floor Monken Activity Room\, which is elevator accessible. \nCheck back soon for the meeting agenda.
