Level Up at Your Library this summer!

There are three age categories for the reading challenge and events: Youth ages 0-11, Teens ages 12-17, Adults ages 18+! Registration will be in person starting June 9. We are not doing registration online or over the phone and reading challenges will be completed using special game board cards.

Prizes

Everyone who completes the reading challenge in any age category will receive a prize to take home. The first 50 children that complete the challenge will receive a Monical’s Pizza coupon and the first 30 teens who complete the challenge will receive Cardinals ticket vouchers! All teens and adults who complete their game card will be entered into a special grand prize giveaway at the end of the challenge: a reusable book tote, decoder ring, wooden puzzle, and pop-up VR goggles for teens and a reusable book tote, playing cards travel set, magnetic journal book, and screwdriver pen with flashlight for adults.

Please note: Reading done before June 9 does not count toward the Summer Reading challenge.

But that’s not all–we have events and activities planned all summer long! Library events and activities are free and do not require registration or a library card to participate, unless otherwise noted.

Weekly Activities

Board Game Afternoons: Every Friday from June 13 to July 25 (except for July 4), we’ll have a ton of games in the Monken Activity Room for all ages to play with from 1:30-3:30pm!

Library Scavenger Hunt and Riddles: Every day we’re open from June 9 to July 31, anyone can do a library-wide scavenger hunt and solve a set of riddles to turn in for a chance to win a grand prize at the end of the summer! Please note that only one entry per person gets counted.

Word of the Week: Every week from June 9 to July 31, a new word will appear on the sidewalks surrounding the Library. Find the correct word to win a prize from the Youth Staff upstairs!
