Our Book Club for adults currently meets once a month on the 3rd Tuesday after hours at 6pm in the Library’s first floor Reading Room.
These meetings are informal and there are goodies for new members. Book Club members may start coming before closing to get situated in the Reading Room. Please knock on the front door to be let in. You must have a completed member form on file to be permitted in the building.
Reading should be done before the meeting so we can discuss the book, but you do not have to finish the book or even read it! We want this to be an accessible club and know that it can be hard to finish reading books for many reasons.
Here is the current 2026 schedule (subject to change):
January 20: Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
February 17: The Ghost by Robert Harris [Movie]
March 17: Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
April 21: The Hobbit, or There and Back Again by J.R.R. Tolkien
May 19: The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes
June 16: A House with Good Bones by T. Kingfisher
July 21: The Library of Lost and Found by Phaedra Patrick
August 18: Murder is Binding by Lorna Barrett
September 15: Happy Place by Emily Henry
October 20: The Quickie by James Patterson
November 17: The Comfort of Crows: A Backyard Year by Margaret Renkl
December 15: Readers’ Choice–Bring your favorite picture book for this year-end party!
If you are interested in becoming a Book Club member, please fill out our member form. You do not need to be a member of our library to join our book club, but if you are and would like for us to put the book on hold for you, be sure to include your library card number. You do not need to come to every meeting to retain membership but if you attend at least six (6) meetings in the calendar year, you’ll be entered into a giveaway for a year-end prize pack! Once you’ve signed up, join our Facebook Group for more insider knowledge of the club.
